Radiant LED White Balloon lights inside a helium balloon can add to your decor!

Last November I did a Bat Mizvah for Samantha at the South Bellevue Community center.   I had written about the Flip Books but there were some other really great items used for their event.

The client used gold balloons and inserted the LED light inside just prior to inflating with helium.      The balloon bouquets were used as centerpieces tied to decorative weights.If you click on the photo of the LED light you can purchase them online right now!  Here’s a picture of how they ended up looking.    You have to be sure to get them filled as close to the start time of the event because they only last 4 – 12 hours.  But they bring attention to your tables better than unlit balloons.The LED Balloon lights are reusable and are powered by a small battery so you can use them over and over again!It’s a really good idea to take one into the party store where you’ll purchase your inflated balloons and have them tested so the store not only knows what they’re doing but you know how it will look in the color of balloon you choose.We are more than happy to help give you ideas that we’ve seen at other events.  FYI the table tents were created by me to match the color theme.  Let me know if you need anything like these.One of the other unique things they did was have a custom-made “Cake Pop” stand with custom flavored cake pops.  The table was then uplit to provide illumination on the beautiful display.All of these ideas can be used in any type of party whether you’re doing a Bar Mitzvah, Bat Mitzvah, Birthday, Graduation, Anniversary, Reunion, Wedding, Banquet of any type.

Karaoke in SeattleYou  come to our karaoke show with your friends to drink and “sing a long” and have a rousing good time.  It takes a lot of courage for the average person to get up on stage and sing a song they’ve only sung in the shower or in their car in front of a bunch of strangers!

Well of course, you’re in a bar where there’s plenty of liquid courage to help you out so you figure, “let’s get drunk and ….” well sing!

All of a sudden you feel like you can do that song better than that last guy.  You’re a “Rock Star” and you’re gonna kill it.  Your fans have been waiting all night for you and your friends to sing (scream) the best version of “Delilah” ever!

You start dancing on the table or mimicking the chair scene from “Flashdance”.  You are on top of the world!

But do you really sound better intoxicated?  Is everyone around you having a good time too?

The biggest question of all:  do you have a designated driver?  We hope so because we want you to keep coming back to have fun and perform your greatest renditions of your favorite tunes and have a memorable time celebrating!

Seattledj.com is ready to launch our brand new web design!

Seattle is sunny and spring is here!  I took this photo on the first sunny day this year from Alki Beach.  It was still a bit chilly but beautiful nonetheless.  The Space Needle has a new orange hat in honor of the World Fair anniversary!

I have to tell you that in 1995 when I first started learning the internet and web design was simple HTML and brand new to most of us – I created really basic websites with a huge learning curve and they weren’t as “pretty” as I thought they should be.

I kept on learning as much as I could about web design and marketing but the DJ business seemed to explode and I could no longer find the time to learn all the new technology and coding that was rushing in each year.  I had a few really great teachers that helped me build and expand each new website every couple of years and I will never forget them!  I loved learning HTML and seeing what visual outcomes emerged with letter codes!

In 2007, I realized that I was so far from the learning curves of web design I sought out Kristin Buchmann to totally redesign both of our sites and she did a marvelous job!

“Blogging” and “Forums” and “Facebook” and “Twitter” sprung up and caused our wonderful, informational, newly updated designed website to become outdated quicker than I could imagine and caused me to have “tech overload” nightmares!

Well – It’s been almost 5 years with the same “static” website that she so thoughtfully and painstakingly created and nurtured until she became a mommy a couple of years ago and had to say goodbye to our “web baby” to care for her own.

CSS, WordPress, PhP and all kinds of other really scary terms had me hyperventilating.  It was time for me to get back on the web design horse and create a “pretty” new “technologically advanced” web site.  I have been working on it slowly but surely, trying to understand all I can while making it easy for my clients to navigate and understand.

I hope you appreciate what I’ve created so far.  Although I still have lots of work to do on this site (I don’t think a site is ever “done”) and have to try to find time to blog (apparently that’s just a new name for journaling – but in public) – I am always trying to find better, more interesting ways to present our services to you so you can really get to know who we are and why we enjoy being part of your life celebrations!

New Site is almost done!

It’s been a long time coming but we’re almost ready to launch this new WordPress design into our main site.  We are so excited!

I have to write more words in this white space to finish testing something.  It’s late and I have no words to write here….

Another Test Post

This is just a test post so ignore it for the moment.  I love my job. I love doing events. I love creating websites with WordPress and Genesis Framework makes my job easier.
